The changeling Queen Chrysalis attempts to use a spell to search for more of her kind in other worlds, hoping to summon them to Equestria so they can aid her in conquering it. However, the spell accidentally connects with a malfunctioning space bridge on Cybertron and pulls the Autobots and Decepticons into Equestria instead. As a result, Autobot Commander Optimus Prime and Princess Twilight Sparkle must gather their own allies to stop the combined threat of Chrysalis and Decepticon Leader Megatron.
