Synopsis

Kang Min-joon, is a brilliant and troubled hacker with exceptional skills. Burdened by social anxiety, depression, PTSD, drug addiction and haunted by his painful past, Min-joon struggles to connect with the world around him. He is a cybersecurity engineer by day at All Safe and a vigilante hacker by night, who goes after criminals and predators who walk free and keep their crimes well hidden. He is approached by the enigmatic "Mr. Robot" who invites him to his group of hacktivists fsociety and their mission is to bring down ECORP, which caused the death of Min-Joon's father and many other victims through their irresponsibility. But as Min-Joon dwelves deep into the mission, he realises that there is something more dangerous and disturbing to the whole conspiracy than he expected.

Description of Cho Yong Jun (Ernesto Santiago):

Cho Yong Jun is Eui's boss at the NIS and the Chief Agent. He is the one who leads the investigation against fsociety and Cho Dong Yul for 5/9 hack. At first he seems like a competent leader who disapproves of Eui's methods and actively stonewalls her. But the reason behind it is revealed as he is a mole for the Dark Army, having been forced to be one to protect his family. With his identity being nearly revealed, he ends up kidnapping both Jae Hwa and Eui and takes them to a barn in the countryside where Min Joon ends up being captured by Ha Joon and brought there too to be executed. However, Yong Jun is axed to death by Ha Joon, who forces Eui to take his place as the NIS mole.
