Buzz Lightyear is a space ranger. He's also Princess Aurora's only grandson. Besides his grandma, he also lives with his wife Jessie the yodeling cowgirl, his pet cat Sox and his pet horse Bullseye. This is how Aurora came to live with Buzz. A couple of years ago, Aurora lost her castle to some land developers who wanted to knock it down to make room for the new ABC News headquarters in Toontown, the city where she used to live in. Feeling sorry for her, he and Jessie quickly set up a spare bedroom for her and took her in. Although it's nice having his grandma living with him, sometimes Buzz feels like she still treats him like a child. This is evident when Aurora tells him to put on plenty of sunscreen in the summer or else he'll get a sunburn or to bundle up and dress in layers in the winter or else he'll freeze up and "catch cold". However, he really does love his grandmother very much. Like any other space ranger, he'll let nothing happen to her as long as she still alive.
