Synopsis

Our world is one of many realms of existence, one of these realms is known as Outworld, a dark and desolate land that is ruled by it's emperor Shao Kahn who has conquered and merged realms with Outworld and has been seeking to do the same to earth for a millenia, to prevent a total invasion from taking place. The beings known as The Elder Gods created the Mortal Kombat tournament, a fighting tournament that occurs every 50 years where the ultimate victor is granted immortality, if Outworld can win 10 consecutive tournaments they will be able invade and take control of Earthrealm without any intervention, as of now Outworld has won 9 tournaments, and the faith of Earthrealm hangs in the balance.

Description of Kung Lao:

Being a descendent of The Great Kung Lao, Kung Lao strives to follow his ancestor's footsteps and hopes to make up for where his ancestor failed, him and Liu Kang essentially grew up together and share a brotherly bond, Kung Lao is very prideful and has a bit of a competitive attitude but he's very loyal to the Shaolin and has a great deal of respect for his fellow monks and masters.
