The movie opens with Liu Kang being picked up as a baby by Raiden, he's adopted by a new family and develops a great relationship with his step-cousin, Kung Lao. Years later, before the first tournament; Raiden, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao go on an adventure learning more about the mythologies of the realm and Kung Lao's ancestor, The Great Kung Lao who died in the tournament 500 years prior.read more
