After watching, helpless, as Lin Kuei soldiers murdered his people and his family, Hanzo Hasashi gave up his life as the assassin Scorpion, spending years trying to overcome his grief. Finding out that the man who led the Lin Kuei attack, Bi Han, will be fighting for Earth in Mortal Kombat, Hanzo agrees to join Outworld's team, if only for a shot at revenge.
