Synopsis

Earthrealm has lost the last 9 Mortal Kombat Tournaments and is on the brink of being absorbed into Outworld by the conqueror Shao Kahn... It is up to Raiden to ensure that the Champions of Earthrealm are prepared for the biggest battle of their lives... Meanwhile, an old rivalry is about to be sent into a blazing fury, as the Lin Kuei assassin Bi-Han, codename Sub-Zero, will have yet another showdown with the Shirai Ryu ninja Hanzo Hasashi, now the vengeful wraith Scorpion...

Description of Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion):

Hanzo Hasashi is one of the most notorious members of the Shirai Ryu Ninja Clan... Skilled with a rope dart, and armed with the Katana's forged by himself, Hasashi was gifted the Nickname 'サソリ'(Sasori, lit. translation Scorpion)... During a mission to the White Lotus Temple, Hasashi entered conflict with the Lin Kuei assassin Bi-Han, ending in his death by decapitation... His soul claimed by the Netherrealm, Hasashi was molded by the Sorcerer Quan Chi into a vengeful Wraith, known only by his former Nickname... He is sent to the tournament alongside Quan Chi as a representative of the Brotherhood of Shadows where he will meet a familiar foe...
