Loosely inspired by The Bamboo Cutter and the 1987 film Princess from the Moon, the plot centers around the princess Kaya in the fictional Sengoku, Japan. When a giant thundercloud invades Kaya's birthplace, the Bamboo Forest, it's up to her to save the day.
