Else Rostova; the fifteen year-old daughter of Kaspar Rostova and Catharina Kittel and secretly a Heartrender who has had to run away from her home in Fjerda to prevent herself from sharing the same fate as her mother, who was killed by the druskelle. Eileen Rostova; the eighteen year-old daughter of no one and dangerous assassin living in Ketterdam, Kerch, who fears her Heartrender powers. Eileen has not heard her old name in years. At least, not until she bumps into Kaz Brekker.
