Ian Malcolm is a mathematician who specializes in chaos theory, or as he refers to himself, a “chaotician”. Malcolm is part of a new breed of mathematician, with a vibrant, eccentric personality and always dresses entirely in black (having the mannerisms of a rock star). As one of the endorsement consultants for Jurassic Park, he has always been skeptical that John Hammond’s creation could work, only to be proven right.
