Samuel L. Jackson as Commander Adam Malkovich: A high-ranking officer in the Galactic Federation who becomes Sam's only superior. Henry Cavill was originally considered for the role of Adam, but director Neill Blomkamp decided that for a grounded, humorless, and dark adaptation of the games, he should be an experienced, aging soldier.
