The story is set in a futuristic world where humanity relies heavily on advanced robotics. Dr. Light, a brilliant scientist, creates Mega Man, a humanoid robot designed to be a bridge between humans and robots. However, when Dr. Wily, Dr. Light's former colleague, turns rogue and reprograms robots to take over the world, Mega Man must rise to the challenge.
