After Deadpool, Cable, Domino, and Bishop save the other X-Men from total annihilation from Apocalypse by going back in time, they realize that their only hope to a non-dystopian future is to prevent Jean Grey from dying in the X-Men vs Brotherhood battle in order to have a fighting chance against Apocalypse. Together, the newly formed X-Force travel back in time to save Jean Grey before the Phoenix takes over. However, Apocalypse is aware of their secret plan and forms their own plans to prevent this from happening...
