Throughout the galaxy is an uncountable number of different species inhabiting thousands of planets in the thousands of sectors of space. The two biggest interstellar empires to date are the Shi'ar Empire and the Skrull Empire; The Kree were also a large empire until their home planet was destroyed. The intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps patrol the entire galaxy for crime, but they also allow the planets and interplanetary empires to form their own peacekeeping forces. The Shi'ar's elite fighting force is the Imperial Guard. The Shi'ar Empire spans several planets, and each of the Imperial Guardians hail from those planets.read more
