Almost 2 full years after the night that Gwen Stacy died and Peter Parker became Spider-Man no more, he discovers that a new vigilante using the name Spider-Man is, in fact, Miles Morales. After also discovering that a new threat is rearing it's head towards anyone with the Spider-Man name, Peter must decide whether or not to return to his friendly neighborhood alter-ego in order to make sure Miles doesn't do something reckless and to keep their city safe.
