Fan Casting Scott Summers in Marvel's X-MEN: THE DAWN OF X

A very stern and sometimes brash young man, whose childhood abuse-fueled bitterness, while prevalent most of the time, always seems to be trumped by his idealistic hope for a better future for his people. This idealism also causes Scott to really shut himself off from others, even those he cares for the most, like a specific redhead. However, Scott is still a natural-born leader and strategist, and a man whose not afraid to do what's right, even if his world crumbles down around him as a result.
