Their inaugural major threat comes in the form of Nicholas Scratch, a sinister sorcerer from the hidden town of New Salem, along with his brutal ally Ulik the Troll. Scratch orchestrates a chaotic assault on Manhattan, manipulating local gang violence and summoning mystical chaos to destabilize the city. Driven together by necessity, these reluctant heroes are forced to overcome their stark ideological differences, particularly their deep friction with the lethal tactics of the Punisher. As Scratch uses dark magic to turn the streets into a warzone, the Marvel Knights must combine their martial arts expertise, espionage skills, and sheer determination to push back the supernatural invasion. By ultimately defeating Scratch and his otherworldly forces, these solitary protectors prove that even the most fractured heroes can unite to safeguard their city from unexpected, apocalyptic dangers.
