Rex is Duke's blood-brother, a loyal soldier who is horrifically burned by the nanomites, mutated by Destro's gene-doping, and reborn as Cobra, the leader of a super-soldier army. He rejects Duke's friendship, beats him savagely, and falls to his apparent death—only for his eyes to snap open in his coffin.
