When J'onn stumbles upon a mysterious alien artifact tied to his people, he uncovers a conspiracy involving a secret government organization, Project Cadmus, and a villainous alien known as Malefic, who has followed him to Earth. As J'onn is forced to reveal himself and confront his past, he must decide whether to remain in the shadows or embrace his role as Earth's protector.
