Professor Elvin Gadd, often shortened to Professor E. Gadd or simply E. Gadd, is an elderly scientist who debuted in Luigi's Mansion and is the founder of Gadd Science, Incorporated. He always makes ambiguous gibberish sounds when speaking (supplied by Kazumi Totaka, who took inspiration from Animal Crossing's "Animalese" when inventing the voice[1]), and he frequently uses phrases such as "criminy", "hullabaloo", etc. His name comes from the archaic exclamation "egad", something that one says in surprise.
