The late mother of Marimar and Angelica, Yolanda was a Mexican immigrant born in poverty along with her parents and her surrogate brother Renato. It was her support that gave Renato the will to immigrate to the United Kingdom, which led to her meeting her husband Gustavo. A strong and caring woman, Yolanda loved her friends and family, especially her daughters Marimar and Angelica. Her death following the demise of Lord Robert Aldama in a ship Collision and the trial of Bart Cusack led to a cover-up discovered years later by Marimar and Sergio.
