Synopsis

Based on the original 1994 Mexican Telenovela of the same name, Marimar is a young Anglo-Mexican girl who falls in love with Sergio, a young law student. But their happiness is cut short when her grandparents are murdered by a mysterious arsonist and they are arrested. Once they reunite in the city of Bristol, both take on new identities to avenge themselves against those who ruined their lives, including Sergio's fugitive father and sister, solve a string of murders and uncover a past that not only brings them closer, but leads them on a mission they never imagined: To save their native England.

Description of Ned Harris (Viper the Assassin):

The 2nd antagonist of the series, Ned 'Viper' Harris is a top level assassin who arrives in East Grinstead to eliminate the Santibañez family in response to Marimar's murder of Victor Leland. He's responsible for the feud between Marimar and Angelica when he latter saves the former from being shot by pushing her into a mud puddle. Harris meets his end when Angelica shoots him, saving Marimar.
