Synopsis

Based on the original 1994 Mexican Telenovela of the same name, Marimar is a young Anglo-Mexican girl who falls in love with Sergio, a young law student. But their happiness is cut short when her grandparents are murdered by a mysterious arsonist and they are arrested. Once they reunite in the city of Bristol, both take on new identities to avenge themselves against those who ruined their lives, including Sergio's fugitive father and sister, solve a string of murders and uncover a past that not only brings them closer, but leads them on a mission they never imagined: To save their native England.

Description of Calixta Montenegro (The Witch):

A mysterious woman who's been imprisoned in HMP Arkham for years now, next to nothing is known about Calixta, not even her age. When a string of murders rocks Bristol, Marimar and Co. turn to her for intel and she drips knowledge one sentence at a time. Later, it turns out she's part of Lord Aldama's army and his lover. Renato has a personal grudge against her and will do everything to get his hands on her.
