"Man of Steel," Kal-El, now known as Clark Kent, grows up in Smallville, Kansas, as a loner grappling with his extraordinary abilities. After realizing his true origin, he sets out to discover his place in the world, leading him on a journey of self-discovery that takes him to Metropolis. As Clark adjusts to life as a reporter for the Daily Planet, he gradually becomes aware of the threat posed by General Zod, a ruthless Kryptonian military leader who has come to Earth to reclaim his lost planet. With Zod's forces threatening to conquer the planet, Superman must embrace his powers and use them to defend his adopted home.
