Description of Alex (The Lion):
Alex, a flamboyant performer in Central Park Zoo, initially blames Marty when they end up in Madagascar. After biting Marty and feeling like a monster, he redeems himself by saving his friends. In the second film, Alex faces doubts and banishment after being reunited with his parents in Africa. In the third film, Alex and his friends join a circus to escape Chantal DuBois. Alex revitalizes the circus, falls in love with Gia, and chooses to stay with the circus over returning to New York.
