Luigi suddenly finds a letter saying he won a mansion in his mailbox, he's confused by this as he never entered a contest. The next morning Luigi is met by Peach's friend, Princess Daisy of Sarrasland and she tells Luigi that Mario & Peach disappeared during night. This leads Luigi to wonder does this mansion has something to do with it. Luigi & Daisy go to the mansion where they met Professor E. Gadd and the Professor says the mansion is overrun by ghosts led by the villainous King Boo.
