Description of Stannis Baratheon:

A large man - tall, broad-shouldered, and sinewy. Stannis has dark blue eyes and a heavy brow. His head has only a fringe of black hair "like the shadow of a crown", his hollow cheeks and strong jaw are covered with a short-cropped blue-black beard that did little to conceal the gauntness of his face. His face has a tightness to it like cured leather, and he has thin, pale lips. He grinds his teeth regularly. Further in the series his beard was spiderwebbed with grey hairs, and he had loose weight, the bones moved beneath his skin like spears, fighting to cut free. Even his crown seemed too large for his head, and the shape of a skull could be seen beneath his face.
