John, a former hitman, finds himself in an unexpected scenario. Gunned down by his former allies he is seen as the first of a "test project": being stuck on Earth until he can prove what afterlife he's destined for. Preferring to live a mundane life he works a slow job and keeps contact to the minimum, until he allows shelter to a young runaway.
