Synopsis

Max Caulfield, an introverted 18-year-old photography student, returns to her hometown of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, after five years away. Shortly after her return, she discovers she has the ability to rewind time after saving her estranged best friend, Chloe Price, from a deadly encounter. As Max struggles to control her newfound powers, she reconnects with Chloe and embarks on a mission to unravel the mystery of Rachel Amber, Chloe's missing friend. Along the way, Max faces difficult moral decisions, all while navigating high school drama, strained friendships, and the dark secrets buried within the town. As Max and Chloe dig deeper, they uncover disturbing truths involving the local elite and a hidden conspiracy. Max’s powers lead to unintended consequences, from saving classmates in peril to causing fractures in time itself. The emotional core of the season is Max’s evolving relationship with Chloe, as Max is torn between using her powers for good or preserving the people she loves. In a climactic finale, Max is forced to make the ultimate choice—save Chloe or sacrifice Arcadia Bay to prevent a devastating storm—leading to a heart-wrenching conclusion that will change everything.
