When king Erestor Escariëtt discovers an ancient portal on the island Trévah it sets off a chain of events that will chance the world of Avylin forever.
Aélanyss, a young álfran, gets the chance to see the world outside of the Great Wood. But quickly she and her friend Luzian become pawns in a great game of power between the three countries of Avylin: Palonië, Darsson and Zirona.
