He is the leader and "conductor" of the Reverberation Ensemble. As described by Roland, Argalia is a "certified lunatic" whose attitude and actions are unpredictable, having "lost it" after the death of his sister Angelica. He is highly charismatic, always appearing to be calm, amicable, and soft-spoken, easily manipulating opponents and swaying potential allies to his side. When he holds the advantage, he openly mocks his victims and opponents in the same playful manner, only rarely revealing his actual cold and callous attitude towards them. The film is said to compare Argalia with F. Murray Abraham's Antonio Salieri of Amadeus (1984), Adam Driver's Kylo Ren of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Heath Ledger's Joker of The Dark Knight (2008) and Matthew Goode's Adrian Veidt / Ozymandias of Watchmen (2009), as well as real-life musicians by Ludwig van Beethoven, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Richard Wagner, Ozzy Osbourne, David Bowie and Elvis Presley.
