Weeks later after the events of "Saw 3D", a new series of Jigsaw games begin to happen, and the police do not understand what is happening, since there are games that can be won and others that cannot. Gordon has already recruited several apprentices, including the two boys from Saw 3D, and discovers that Hoffman somehow escaped from the bathroom, and knows that he will seek revenge, so he contacts John Kramer's second apprentice, Logan Nelson. They both work together on the games, and on finding Jigsaw's other cult. However, the final twist of the film is that Logan betrays Gordon and lets Hoffman kill him, thus both taking control of the two Jigsaw cults.
