Wilde was born in Basingstoke, Hampshire, U.K. She is descended from the aristocratic Gough-Calthorpe family.Her father, businessman John Austen Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, is a former chairman of the Watermark Group, and the grandson of baronet Fitzroy Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe.
