After the death of her father, Logan aka The Wolverine, Haunted by her past as a weapon, Laura Kinney takes on the mantle of Wolverine operates alone in the shadows, distancing herself from the X-Men while tracking rumors of a resurrected weapons program linked to her past. When covert military leader General Jason Stryker, son of the infamous William Stryker, launches a private anti-mutant initiative, Laura becomes his primary target. As new enemies rise including Sabretooth, Silver Samurai, and remnants of anti-mutant forces Laura must confront the legacy of violence left behind by her father Logan, and decide what kind of Wolverine she will be.
