Sterling Kelby Brown (born April 5, 1976) is an American actor. Known for his leading roles on stage and screen, he has received numerous accolades, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a nomination for an Academy Award. He was included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018. Brown portrayed Christopher Darden in the FXlimited series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story (2016), which earned the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. For his role as Randall Pearson in the NBC drama series This Is Us (2016–2022), he earned the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He was further Emmy-nominated for his comedic roles in the Fox Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2018) and the Amazon Prime comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2019). For his role in American Fiction (2023), he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Brown is also known for his leading roles in films such as Hotel Artemis (2019), Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. (2022), and Biosphere (2023) as well as supporting roles in Marshall (2017), Black Panther (2018), and Waves (2019). After a Green Lantern named Abin is murdered his ring goes to Hal Jordan a fighter pilot for the military who teams up with two other lanterns named Jon Stewert and Guy Gardner to find the killer. After several lanterns including Kilowog, Saint Walker, and Star Sapphire the killer disappears again and Hal is left with nothing. Eventually the Green and Red lanterns make a truce and stop their war to find the killer. It takes a lot of investigating but they eventually find out that it is the Orange Lantern Larfleeze. The movie climaxes with a huge war between the allied Green and Red lanterns and the Orange Lanterns. Hal manages to stop Larfleeze and lock him up but the Red Lanterns betray the Green Lanterns and Hal has to fight Atrocitus. Hal is thrown down and Jon and Guy have to stop him while Hal regains his strength. The movie ends with them beating Atrocitus and going back home as peace is restored to the galaxy. In the post credits scene we see Darkseid talking with his son Orion about Hal Jordan and the fact that he is an ally to the Justice League now is uncomfortable now that he has proved his strength as well as Jon and Guy.
