Synopsis

Hal Jordon lost his father and mother during a plane crash that they were on together. He was the only survivor. He is now a test pilot for Ferris Aircraft until he was fired for outing the CEO for corrupt black market deals. One day he discovers a ring from a dying alien and steps into the larger universe of The Green Lantern Corps

Description of Amon Sur (Son of Abin Sur):

Amon Sur is disgusted by the fact Hal was given the ring and not him. He goes on the war path and attempts to kill Hal. Hal and Sinestro try to reason with him but Amon will not hear it and he assists Manhunter in his search for the yellow ring. Later him and Hal have a duel but Hal kills him when his fear takes over as Amon mocks Hal for his fear and trauma. Thaal is saddened but claims that it had to be done as Amon attacked Hal first, thus is the way of Justice. Hal is disturbed by his actions and questions weather he is truly worthy of carrying the ring.
