A distant descendant of both Tony Stark (Iron Man) as well as Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) of the 21st Century, the man who would be Kang is a tyrannical ruler of his 41st Century Empire. But when his timeline is suddenly erased due to the existence of the so-called Legion of Superheroes, Kang attacked the young Legion in its early days of the 31st century only to be defeated. So, to erase them completely, he attacked the 21st century to eliminate the inspiration for the Legion; Superwoman.
