Synopsis

After centuries asleep, the vampire Claudia awakens in 1987, frightened by the new world she reinvents herself as a singer in a rock band and ends up being very successful. The lyrics of the songs catch the attention of Jesse, a young man fascinated by the existence of vampires, he is a member of a secret organization known as the Talamasca, which aims to record the presence of vampires in the human world, Jesse and Claudia begin a deadly attraction with the boy trying to prove to the world that Claudia is a vampire. At the same time, Claudia ends up awakening from her slumber an ancient and very powerful vampire, Shankar. Shankar was a ruler of Egypt who was turned into a vampire along with Akasha, the queen, and for this reason he is known to be the father of the entire vampire race. Shankar now wishes to make Claudia his queen so that together they can destroy humanity and usher in an age of vampires

The title character and main antagonist of the story. Shankar is an Iraqi who by marrying an Egyptian princess became a ruler, the king was then murdered and had his soul possessed by a bloodthirsty entity, thus becoming a vampire. Because he was the first vampire in the world to be born, he was given the title of Father of All Vampires
