Synopsis

After twelve days away from their home universe, the Justice League, with the help of several variants of themselves, managed to stop the multiverse from caving in on itself in the event of the creation of the Flashpoint timeline. However, when they return to their universe, the League learns a horrific truth... What was twelve days for them was twelve months in the universe they came from, and Darkseid and his forces took over the world, with the Joker and Lex Luthor leading a team of villains known as "The legion of Doom" on Darkseid's command. Now uniting the remaining heroes to aid them in their cause, the Justice League must defeat their adversaries before they can get to Darkseid and his army of aliens...

Description of "The Ruler of Apokolips" (Ending Scene):

Upon seeing that the Legion of Doom failed to kill the Justice League, Steppenwolf walks away from where he has overseen the team's defeat and enters a throne room belonging to the very castle that was constructed in the wake of what occurred after the Justice League disappeared. Steppenwolf tells the massive figure on the throne that Lex Luthor and the Joker failed to defeat the League, and the figure only says, "Then welcome them into the building. I wish to watch them suffer when they are defeated by our hands."
