  • dcomega123 "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" is a film imagined as the live-action verson of the 2013 animated film of the same name. Here's a summary: The movie opens with Barry Allen, also known as the Flash, visiting his mother's grave, feeling guilty for not being able to save her from being murdered when he was a child. Barry is later alerted to a robbery by his old enemy, the Reverse-Flash, but the Justice League steps in to help, and the villain is defeated. The next day, Barry wakes up in a drastically altered reality. In this world, his mother is alive, he has no powers, and there is no Justice League. Instead, a brutal war is raging between the Amazons, led by Wonder Woman, and the Atlanteans, led by Aquaman, threatening to destroy the planet. Additionally, Bruce Wayne was killed as a child, leading his father, Thomas Wayne, to become a more ruthless Batman, and his mother to become the Joker. Desperate to set things right, Barry seeks out Batman for help, and together they use the Batcave to recreate the accident that gave Barry his powers. Initially unsuccessful, they eventually manage to restore Barry's abilities. Barry then remembers that the Reverse-Flash is behind these changes and concludes he must be in this timeline too. Barry and Batman team up with other heroes, including a drastically different Superman who was held captive and weakened by the government. They work together to stop the war between the Amazons and Atlanteans. During the conflict, Barry confronts the Reverse-Flash, who reveals that Barry himself caused the timeline changes by traveling back in time to save his mother. In doing so, Barry inadvertently created this dark alternate reality. Realizing that the only way to set things right is to let his mother die, Barry races back in time once more, allowing her murder to happen as originally. This restores the original timeline, but with some slight alterations. Barry wakes up in the present day, retaining memories of the Flashpoint timeline, and finds that some aspects of his world have changed. The film concludes with Barry visiting Bruce Wayne, revealing to him the letter written by Thomas Wayne from the alternate timeline, providing a poignant connection between the two heroes.
