Fan Casting Mera in Justice League: Knightfall

Feeling that the people of Atlantis need better protection against threats from the outside universe (such as Darkseid's forces from Apokolips), Aquaman, Mera, and Aqualad join Batman's new regime, with Arthur Curry feeling that by joining the regime, Bruce will provide protection to the Atlanteans from any enemies that may attack Earth. And once Aquaman earns his seat on the regime council at the end of the film, Batman gives Arthur what he wants, and has some Atlanteans join the regime in return for giving them the defenses they need against villains from other planets, or even other universes.
