On the planet of Apokolips, military officer and uncle of Darkseid, Steppenwolf rallies his army of para-demons before travelling to Earth in search for the three Mother Boxes which will help them conquer and destroy the planet. Steppenwolf and his army invade Themyscira and take the Mother Box held in the Themysciran temple. Hippolyta delivers a signal outside of the island to warn Diana Prince. Diana Prince receives the message before travelling to Gotham City in order to pass on the message to Batman that an invasion is about to occur. The two contact Martian Manhunter from the Batcave, in which he gives the all clear to commence the plan to find Earth’s meta humans and bring them together to defeat Steppenwolf and his army.
