Dr. Ian Malcolm is a mathematician who specializes in a branch of mathematics known as "Chaos Theory". Along with Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler, Ian Malcolm was one of the consultants who was hired by John Hammond to provide information to aid in building Jurassic Park.
