In 1987, the Justice Society of America prevented Vandal Savage from stealing the powers of the Demon Eclipso with the Heart of Darkness and controlling reality, in a decisive battle that cost the lives of some members of the group. These days, Savage, who had spent decades in a secret A.R.G.U.S. manages to break free and with the intention of capturing the diamond again creates the Injustice Society, which forces Doctor Fate and Hawkman to assemble a new team and stop Savage before it's too late.
