Synopsis

A movie adaptation of the hit Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Tim Rice stage musical based on the Old Testament story of the youngest son of Jacob, Joseph, that tells of his betrayal by his jealous brothers and of his being sold into slavery and his eventual triumph as he becomes the king of Egypt.

The father of twelve sons, his favourite being Joseph. At times he may appear unfair and shallow, but he is, more importantly, the prophet who recognises the future and the calling of Joseph, thus saving the House of Israel.
