Long before Star Wars, Alien, Blade Runner, and David Lynch's Dune
In 1974, the films rights to Frank Herbert's "Dune" were picked up by director Alejandro Jodorowsky. His plan was to make an Epic 14 Hour Film with many famous collaborators Salvador Dali, Orson Welles, David Carradine, etc. along with Pink Floyd composing the music, H.R. Giger designing the production, Dan O'Bannon creating the special effects, and Jodorowsky's own son Brontis playing the lead character.
