Annie Brody is the daughter of Michael Brody. After her mother dies of cancer, her father moves her and her little sister Elsie to his childhood town of Amtiy Beach to live with her grandparents Martin and Ellen Brody. Annie’s dad was traumatized by the 1975 shark attacks, so much so, that he never let his daughters in the ocean. Because of this, Annie never learned how to swim. Annie is the new heroine of the film. She is smart, brave, and thinks fast.
