In the Mid Climax of the Film he Thinks that Michael is one of the Teens taking the Prank to far (Even though its not a prank) so he shoots Michael a ton of Times but then gets grabbed and choked by Michael and gets Stabbed a couple times Until Jason Stabs his Machette through his Chest and through Michael's Chest at the same time killing the Sheriff in the process but do you actually think Michael will go down that easily ;).
