A 44-year-old woman who never married because of her troubled past as a prostitute. Since she ended that “job” she has been a humble, good-natured and quiet woman longing for love. She falls in love with Dima but he rejects her proposal to become his model because she is “too old.” Nevertheless, after some time she notices that, unlike the other two rivals, she is not concerned with the money she is to receive from the tsar for her portrait, but with love. Plot twist: He asks her to return with him to Russia to introduce her to the tsar. He fears that she will condemn him to death for it, but the tsar immediately forgets about the previous woman and falls in love with Rooney.
