Inspector Gadget began in 1983 as a DIC animated series, which has since spawned a multimedia franchise.
The story concerns the titular cybernetic police inspector, a bumbling but kindhearted hero who is sent on various globetrotting missions by Chief Quimby to thwart the machinations of the villainous organization MAD and its megalomaniacal leader Doctor Claw.
